Is BCOMF a yearly program or a semester based program? Also when will the exams be held if i have taken admission in July 2025? When do i need to do my assignments? Also how will i get an update regarding the same?
In IGNOU, the Term-End Examinations (TEE) are conducted twice every year – once in June and once in December. After completing your 1st and 2nd semester exams, the next exam you will appear for will be your 3rd semester, followed by the 4th semester in the next cycle.
The exams are not conducted together for 3rd and 4th semester. Each semester has its own examination in the respective TEE session. So, you will appear for your 3rd semester exams in June/December depending on your admission cycle, and then your 4th semester exams in the following session.
In short:
Exams are held semester-wise, not clubbed together.
You will give 3rd semester exams first, and then 4th semester exams separately in the next TEE.
The BCOMF (Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Finance & Cost Accounting) program is a semester-based program under IGNOU.
Since you have taken admission in July 2025, you will be enrolled in the July cycle, and your first term-end examinations will be held in June 2026 (for the first 2 semester).
Assignments for your enrolled courses will need to be submitted before the exam form submission deadline for the respective semester. For the June 2026 exams, the last date for assignment submission is usually in March/April 2026 (IGNOU announces the exact dates on its website).
